Peter Sutch

Peter Dennis Anthony Sutch was born in England on 8 April 1945. He waseducated at Downside School and Oxford Exeter College, earning an B.A.
History.

Mr. Sutch joined John Swire & Sons in September 1966 in the Shipping Division.

After transferring to Cathay Pacific in 1970 and becoming Manager West Japan based in Osaka, he worked for 11 years in various divisions of
Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong and Japan.

Mr Sutch was transferred back to Head Office as Deputy Director in 1981, took up the post of Deputy Managing Director in May 1983 and became Managing Director of Cathay Pacific on 1 January 1984.

He was appointed Chairman of the Swire Group in Hong Kong on 1 June 1992, overseeing John Swire & Sons (HK) Ltd, Swire Pacific Ltd, Cathay
Pacific Airways Ltd, and Swire Properties Ltd.

In addition to his Swire Group positions, Mr Sutch is Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commence, and is also a Board Member of The
Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd, The Community Chest of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and the Commission on Strategic Development for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.

Mr Sutch was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honours in June 1995. He is also member of numerous
trade, aviation and community-related organisations in Hong Kong.
